This is a very interesting and haunting book. The mystery, ghosts and romance are equally engaging. The childhood relationship leading to true love. The telling of an old romance is beautifully written. This book has a great cast of characters. Their story is sweet and adds to the complete package.

Working together Rhys and Emma try to solve the mysteries that are showing themselves to Emma. Rhys finds himself wanting to protect Emma. As Rhys watches her and hears what she is seeing begins to believe in her gift of communicating with ghosts when he recognizes the little girl ghost. She wakes up in strange places in the house and knows she is being led to solve a mystery. He begins to worry about her safety after a medium that was also invited to the home is murdered.Įmme is being approached by the ghost of a young girl. He watches her and finds that he is drawn to her. He finds her in the night she is wandering the house and seems to be unaware of her environment. Rhys believed that she must be a charlatan or a fake.

She has been brought to his home by his mother to solve the mystery of his wife’s death was actually murder. It was a fun read, and the ghosts added to the story and kept me turning the pages. The sex scenes are spicy, and the story well plotted as the relationship deepens in proportion to the increase in danger when they close in on the killer. This additional genre of fantasy or ghosts adds to the romance and is important to the plot of the story to solve the past murders of Melisande and Elise. She is also possessed by Elise, who threatens to harm Emme. When someone tries to kill Emme, Rhys is determined to protect her and find the murderer.īesides the physical attraction, Rhys must come to terms with Emme’s powers to converse with the dead. Emme discovers the same man who killed Melisande also killed Elise. Rhys doesn’t trust Emme, but Michael sees her talking to Melisande, the sister of Rhys who was raped and murdered. She also adds an aunt who hates Emme, an evil stepfather, and a sister who can see visions of the future. They participate in a seance led by a fake, who is murdered during the performance.
